This week marks the first week of many of you being at home, in what can only be described as extraordinary times. Part of this challenge is that we do not know how long these measures will go on for, and how it might affect us and our families in the near future. I don’t have these answers for you but what I can say is please be kind to yourselves and take one day at a time. The team are busy creating activity ideas that are able to be done at home. These are ideas only, do not feel you have to complete these but use them if they are helpful. It is much more important that you and your children are able to navigate the day successfully without the additional pressure of learning, if it is creating an unhappy home. I have a new letter which answers some questions we have had from our families. Please look in the letters to parent section for this.
Some of you have expressed a worry about shopping locally. There is a fantastic team of local volunteers who maybe able to assist you at this time: The Andover Self Isolation Help team can be contacted via Facebook or on 01264 748 946. Please give them a call if you are in need of help with practical things such as prescriptions, shopping or if you just need someone to chat to.
Another local group that may be of interest is the Andover Self Isolation Additional Needs Parent Support group on Facebook.
Stay safe and well.
